Only been here once. Was on a road trip and stopped. We waited 15 min for a table, waitress was extremely nice and drinks were brought right away. Food took a long time to come out and it didnt seem that busy, however the food was absolutely delicious! Everything we had was very, very good. We had mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, our daughter had the biggest and best looking quesadilla I've ever seen, the chilli was great, and our steak dinners were incredible. They came with huge shrimp and my fries and my husbands mashed potatoes were also very good. Despite the wait, we would definitely eat there again.

Our only main complaint is how the tip system works their on your bill, it seems they include it on your bill already and it doesn't seem there is a way to change it. That wasn't explained to us, everywhere else we have gone to we don't see that and we ear all over. Otherwise food was great so far.

Good hometown restaurant with an excellent menu variety. We frequent Southwoods and have never left disappointed. We have our preferences, but overall everything on the menu is good food. The service is a good and most of the staff seem like they have been there a while. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. This isn't a 5 star restaurant, its good comfort food. We definitely recommend!

Wife and I determined idea to try this place based on another suggestion (the fried mushrooms ARE as good as they say, but next time would go with a full order if sharing). I had the white fish basket and the wife had the cod basket with the Brew City fries. Both were very good (whitefish was better in bothour opinions). We shared a Ghirardelli cheesecake slice after the meal. Wife loved it. I'm not a big fan of chocolate, but I still found it very tasty. Service was good and food arrived quickly after ordering it.

It's a number one rule that we dont eat anywhere that is a commercial chain on vacation but also try to go places that won't break the bank. Southwoods pub and grill checked both boxes. We started off with the onion rings and potato skins and my two oldest had the kids whitefish dinner which was a good portion and my youngest had the spaghetti (butter noodles of course). I had the 8 0z steak an shrimp and my wife had the the lake perch dinner. Everything was great and the staff super friendly even though we wound up staying a bit past closing due to us getting in late. I highly recommend this to anyone in the area!

We were welcomed and offered seating as soon as we arrived. Our server was friendly. My friend and I shared a Hawaiian pizza which was quite good. I can see why locals like Southwoods. It's a lively pub and grill with a variety of food and drinks in a pleasant environment. I liked the complimentary peppermint candies available at the entrance/exit.

We have been traveling for a week with a few duds on restaurants and this place was so refreshing, exactly what we needed. 15 minute wait, waitress came immediately after being sat and was friendly and attentive(shoutout to Amber!). Drinks came immediately and the food was shortly after. The food was so flavorful, we had the seafood chowder which had a taste similar to clam chowder. I had the chicken parm and the chicken was so juicy and the breading was perfect, the sauce had a tang to it. My wife had the chicken fried chicken and it was the same, she loved the potato. Recommend to anyone wanting homestyle food made quickly and tastes delicious!

Shrimp and onion rings were very good, not quite enough for a 5, they could have been a bit better. Friendly bartender /waitress even though she was racing. Portion big enough that I couldn't finish the o-rings. Have never had rings made with red onions, but that didn't detract from the flavor.

Dinner time ha: SEAFOOD CHOWDER SOUP best soup I've ever had!! wow... how can it be this good in a non 4 star restaurant? followed by CHICKEN SALAD with Honey Mustard dressing. INCREDIBLE!! wow, how can it be this good at a regularly priced restaurant? dessert?
